About Tah An

50+ Years in Animal Health

Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Yongkang District, Tainan, Tah An is one of Taiwan’s most established GMP-certified veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturers. Starting as Bayer Germany’s production base in Taiwan, Tah An now brings nearly 60 years of experience in animal drug manufacturing and global collaboration, serving both livestock and companion animals — rooted locally, reaching globally.

We have a variety of formulation technologies covering both internal and external use, including:

Powder

Powders are often used for economic animals and can be mixed into feed or drinking water for administration. They are quickly absorbed and suitable for group treatment, making them the first choice for daily health care and epidemic prevention.

Liquid

Liquid dosage forms are divided into aqueous solutions and suspensions, which have good palatability and rapid onset of action, and are suitable for acute symptom treatment and individualized precision medication.

Tablets

Tablets have stable dosages and are easy to administer. They are often used for companion animals. They can also be made into special forms such as chewable tablets and sustained-release tablets to improve medication compliance.

Capsules

Capsules can encapsulate odor and bitter ingredients to improve animal acceptance, and can also be designed to be fast-acting or delayed-release to prolong the efficacy of the drug.

Ointment

Ointments are used for external needs such as skin and wounds. They have local effects, stable absorption, and low irritation. They are common topical preparations.

Injections are fast-acting and have clear efficacy, and are suitable for severe conditions that require immediate intervention. Daan has three injection production lines to meet various clinical needs.
